Eric Theis

Eric is a Partner at Bling Capital, where he focuses on opportunities in software, AI applications, infrastructure, and marketplaces.

Previously, Eric was a senior software engineer at Flexport where he built marketplace, finance, and payments products growing to multiple billions of dollars in revenue. Prior to that, he built software at Barefoot Networks (acq: Intel) for the 6.5 Tb/s and 12.8 Tb/s generations of reprogrammable switches for software-defined networking.

Throughout his career, Eric has also built analytics infrastructure for Facebook's advertising platform, improved Instagram's ability to detect fake accounts, conducted research with superconducting quantum interference devices, and designed deal discovery and diligence data automations with World Innovation Lab.

Eric holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
